This post arrives very late, I was waiting for photos which were on Linda’s computer.
Anyway. We have been more or less 5 days in Pakse. We spent the time visiting the surroundings by motorbike on the Bolaven Plateau, visiting the ruins of Wat Phu a minor city of the Angkor emperor.
We spent two days by motorbike around the Bolaven Pateau with very disorganized and unprepared for the colder temperature than in Pakse and we had to find a solution for that.
We decided to spend 214$ each for the tree top experience, which is about two days of zip-lining at the edge of the plateau. The plateau is an elevated land. It is a flat topped table standing above the surrounding area with very steep slopes. Because the steep sloop mostly vertical the area is full of waterfalls. The zip-line area is situated in a remote area along one of this waterfall. Reach the area requires 2 hours of walking in the forest from the last village of a dirty road. Quite remote then.
The experience it’s expensive but worth the money. It’s one time experience and includes sleeping in the forest on a tree house and a “via ferrata”. There is a version of tree days but I thing that two days are enough.
